60 Faces of NCSY

Often, a person has no idea of the impact he or she has made on someone else. 60 Faces of NCSY was created to change that. The people we feature every day were nominated by NCSY alumni and NCSYers to express gratitude to someone that inspired them.

Noam and Yotam Yellen

I met Noam and Yotam on my first ever NCSY Shabbaton, and they have been one of my biggest inspirations ever since. They are such kind and genuine people, and they never fail to amaze me. Never before in my life have I seen such a strong love between brothers, and they are the perfect example of how much we should all love and appreciate our family and friends. They are always out to soak up knowledge and learn new things from all different kinds of people, and they are some of the wisest people I know. With Noam and Yotam, you feel like you’ve known them forever. They immediately make you feel like you belong, no matter who you are or where you’re from.

Since they came here from Israel when they started high school, they inspire others with their love for their country and spread Ahavat Israel everywhere they go. On Yom HaZikaron, we had a special LNL in which they shared their story of growing up in Sderot, just a few miles away from the border of Gaza. Their story touched everyone’s heart, and their hope for the future is so uplifting. Our Norcal NCSY chapter wouldn’t be the same without them, and they bring our little family closer than ever!
