Yesterday was Pesach Sheni, a sort-of make up day for Pesach (in the temple times if someone missed out on bringing the Passover Offering they could make it up on Pesach Sheni), so let’s do a little Pesach make-up ourselves! The Torah tells us (Exodus 12:15), “שִׁבְעַת יָמִים, מַצּוֹת תֹּאכֵלוּ–אַךְ בַּיּוֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן, תַּשְׁבִּיתוּ שְּׂאֹר מִבָּתֵּיכֶם – for seven days you should eat only matzah, you should get rid of any bread from your house” Ah, Passover. But what’s wrong with bread? Why do we need to get rid of it? Well, the ancient sages teach us that there is a metaphoric lesson here to be learned as well, check out this video for more.
So, today’s Jewish mission is “unpuff” and take the lesson of Passover to heart. Don’t oversell yourself and make yourself bigger than what you are, be yourself, that is all you need to be.
